All The World's A Stage

Wow for over a year now I haven't been able to get into this blog to update it, so I started a new one. Every time I tried to log in to write a new post it wouldn't let me get further that a blank page.

Well life has plodded on, my mobility has gotten worse, meaning I have used my electric wheelchair, and manual wheelchair far more. Depression-wise things have been somewhat better, still getting extremely bad times but they don't seem to last so long and are easier to cope with that they have been for a good few years.

I am still doing amateur theatre, only a couple of shows a year acting as prompter for Wolverton Gilbert & Sullivan Society, this year they did the Broadway version of Pirates of Penzance. I had 1 prompt in the run and thoroughly enjoyed watching the show night after night (I would have loved to have been back onstage performing). I have been asked to and accepted the role of Assistant Director for another company who are appearing at this year's International G&S Festival in Buxton, Derbyshire, UK. The company are performing a "Sketch Show" using  music and Lyrics from all the operettas showing 'Love between an older man and younger woman, food, magic, love of a young woman for an older man etc. I'm having a ball!
